LJK Skills Academy

3 Feb 2022 by Seth Bennett

The LJK Skills Academy is for experienced players eligible to play a minimum U14s hockey. The aim of the Skills Academy is to take the players beyond the level covered in training and is open to players from all clubs.

The emphasis is on advanced skating, stick handling, passing and shooting with some battle and compete elements for the players to push one another.

The sessions will be led by the LJK head coach Mike Forbes, Leeds Knights defenceman Bobby Streetly, former Sheffield Steelers netminder and LJK goalie coach Davey Lawrence and Seth Bennett. The plan is also to have some guest coaches, to focus on specific areas for the players.

The session will be capped at 24 players and 4 goalies. The training sessions are 90 minutes and the costs is £60 for a block or 4 or £20 for a single session and they are open to any EIHA registered player eligible to play a minimum of U14s hockey.

The first session is Monday 7th Feb.

If you are unsure of whether this is the right development opportunity for your player then please get in touch with wither Mike Forbes or Seth Bennett.
